IPad interface/control

Happy New Year to all...and I certainly hope your Christmas was safe and Merry.

While surfing the multitude of satellite channels in my home (sorry not a football fan) I ended up on HGTV and watched the "RV 2013" show. One of the items shown was on a 2013 Forest River Aviator and was an IPad interface that allowed the owner control over the television, BluRay player, surround sound and fireplace. Realizing this is (assumably) something new is anyone familiar with this type of interface. Sounds interesting. Would love to see if something like that could be retrofitted to an older TT. Obviously this is not a necessity however, something to play with. Any thoughts. Thanks

There are a number of add ons on the market. Griffintechnology beacon or irule are only two of them. They work either with a small piece of hardware which is linked to the ipad or similar via bluetooth and sends IR signals to the equipment to be controlled or uses hardware to be linked via Wifi. Just google ipad for remote control and you get a ton of links.

Have tried it. Have to be close to the stereo as that is where the microphone is. Doesn't work well from the bed or bathroom. Sounds OK though. Have to turn the blue tooth off if you go out of the camper or the audio comes out in there. More of a hassle than a benefit. Discontinued using it.
