It looks like the sheet metal came from the same die.
Do those just wire to the light?

The silver one has Larger holes for the larger fans. Yes they wire into the light (Power) side! Next to (Roof Vent Covers) they should be (Standard)! Youroo!!

Where did you get the latest one? I'm considering one for my next mod.

Update.. Dforce1029 on Ebay is same place as RV Cooling unit warehouse. I bought the LED one not so much for the LEDs but for the switch and David said the Fans are a bit bigger in them.. It was only $3 more came to $23.06 with shipping. The case looks to be a little better but who knows...

As a retired USAF Communications and networking technician, I can tell you these are just hard drive cooling fans. You can save some dollars by shopping for them locally at a computer parts supply place or online at a place like newegg.com Hard Drive Coolers - Newegg.com or tigerdirect.com Masscool Hard Drive Cooler Fan fits 3.5 Drives at TigerDirect.com, etc... Ballbearing fans will last longer than other types.
just my two cents.

Yes they are computer cooling fans, I bought one for my computer case from staples for $7 or $8. But these have a nice case they are mounted in with a switch that can easily be attached to cooling fins. When I factor in gas and local tax, it isn't worth my time and energy trying to save a couple $$. Factor the cost over 7 years even makes it less appealing. I've been a MacGyver my whole life and have found there are some things not worth the time to MacGyver. If a person can afford an expensive RV, they should be able to afford $23.06 for a nice dual cooling fan. That's barely 50 miles of traveling at the price of fuel LOL.
Beside the guy I bought from carries a complete line of repair parts for RV refrigerators etc, many at substantial savings. He has got to make a buck too!
Thanks though for letting all the MacGyver's out there know that alternatives are available.
RON
