Jack Knife Sofa Mod?

Anyone have a good mod to reinforce the jack knife sofa bottom cushion/springs for better support? New sofa feels like it is 10 yrs old.

We took out the sofa and sold it online. Bought a twin short mattress, added pillows on the back for a daybed look. So much more comfortable. If I can figure out how to add a pic, I will.
