Jack knife sofa with storage mod

274dbh has a jack knife sofa that you must lift to get to the storage. This is very awkward for my wife and kids to use due to it always wants to close on them. Any mods out there to keep the darn thing open for them? I have seen some that have a pull out drawer but ours does not have that option.

You might look at hatchlift.com, you will have to hinge one side.

Mine is that way too but I discovered that the front panel under the seat does lift fairly easily off the frame with just a little lift of the seat. Maybe yours is this way? In our old Forest River, rather than the bracket for the front panel being on the top of the frame (requiring lifting the panel off), the bracket slid onto the frame from the front so the seat didn't have to be lifted. My trailer is brand new so I haven't had a chance to look, but I wonder if the brackets could be turned to snap from the front. If not, maybe some new brackets can be found that could replace the ones that are there.
