Jack TV OA 8201 antenna install
Done deal. Replaced the Jensen omnidirectional TV antenna with a Jack TV antenna. Mounted it right over where the Jensen was. It was only a 2 beer job, pretty easy.
Step 1: Follow the supplied directions
Really that's the easiest way I could tell you to do it, they're well written. Can't tell if it's any better or not at home. We can get a ton channels using vice grips and a clothes hanger here. Our campground this coming weekend doesn't have cable so I'll report back next week.

Looks good. Keep us posted on how the antenna performs.
The problem I would have with my 303RKS is the location inside the tt. (see pic) I would have to do some remodeling of the center cabinet above the tv since the Jensen is directly above and inside the cabinet.
Otherwise I would have to relocate the antenna location, which I really don't want to do.

I had about 5 feet of extra coax stuffed in the ceiling. The new antenna base has a slot in it to run the coax through if it's coming in externally. The hole in roof was only about 3/4" in diameter for the coax to go to the jensen. You could seal the hole around the coax and mount your antenna back further. That section of coax would just be laying on the roof. You could always cover it with that eternabond tape to hide it a little if you wanted.

Is the top of that cabinet just the ceiling? If so you could you mount the control knob inside the cabinet.

That would probably be better than tearing up the cabinet. Like you said, just use Dicor around the hole then Eternabond everything.
I'll have to think on this awhile. If I decide to do it I'll only get one chance at it, right?

Jason, how tall is the antenna?
I'm glad it was only a 2 beer job, I'd hate to see you fall off the trailer .

Yeah it is and that's another possibility. What size is the Jack ceiling mount?
The cabinet is shallow and measures 21½" wide by 8" deep.
P.S. Just went out for a quick look. Just from eye balling it, the Jensen looks to be centered over the doors of the cabinet. Would I be able to "offset" the Jack about 4" so the ceiling mount would fit sideways inside the cabinet? That is if it will fit at all.

the base of the Jack is quite a bit larger than the base of Jensen, you may be able to move it that much, tuff to say. The inside piece is about 4X8". You can mount this piece any direction you want, it doesn't matter.

UPDATE: Couldn't wait!
I just bought the black OA-8201 model on EBay for $116.10 with free shipping and no tax.
ORIGINAL Message I wrote.
I know this message is a few years old but wondered now that you have had the Jack for a few years do you feel it was with it?
Do you get better reception and or more channels?
I'm considering replacing my OEM flat antenna FR installed on my Georgetown motorhome.
Let us know.
Thanks

Compared to the omni directional Jensen absolutely worth it. Jack reception/number of channels is far better. I feel reception is about the same as the winguard crank up we had on the old camper although the built in signal strength indicator on the jack makes it easier to tune.
