JT strong-arm stabilizers - T-handle bolt thread ?

I'm wanting to order some BAL lock-arm stabilizers (just because they can be bought in individual pairs, rather than just as a full set of 6 like the JT's etc), however I'd like to use T-handle bolts like the JT's have.

I found these on amazon: -

Does anyone know (or could check) the thread-size of the T-handle bolts on the JT strong-arms ?
BAL were kind enough to inform me that the bolts in their Lock-arm stabilizers are 1/2" - 13 thread count. I'm hoping that the JT bolts might be the same, so I could use them with the BAL. (I haven't managed to find any other T-bolts with a 1/2"-13 thread)

I assume you have a friend with a welder somewhere. Couple of bolts of the appropriate size...after cutting. Tadaaa. You got some. I would do it for you and I don't even know you.

Appreciate it, may even take you up on the offer (with some remuneration)

Unfortunately I don't have any welding gear anymore, and I can't think of anyone particularly local with a welder, but I will ask around
Don't mind paying a little bit for the solution, which is why I was considering something "off the shelf"

Just take them to a welding shop and have them weld a pc of 1/2" rod on top of the existing handles.

After loosing one I ordered some spares direct from JT. You might give them a call.

I went to Graingers and bought knobs with the correct bolt size built in.....

I can get the t-bolts from JT, but I want to check first if they'll fit in the BAL stabilizers

Thanks, just what I needed to know. I found the Amazon link to them but didn't see the size mentioned there.
If they're 3/8" then I'll have to make something up, or find something elsewhere since the threads for the BAL ones are 1/2"-13

My homemade L shaped ones are 1/2-13. Made them L shaped so they would not have a tendency to loosen on their own with the L and gravity keeping the heavy end down.

Nice idea, just need to make sure the bar is to the right of vertical, if upwards, I guess so the weight pulls it tighter, not looser

Had both do yourself a favor and look into steady fast system there's no preload super easy

Mainy so they don't move while in transport position, I don't tighten them in the transport position because having CRS, I would most likely try to extend the jacks with the stabilizer tubes tight.

And throw away perfectly functional, time tested homemade ones?? Don't think so.

If I were still at work, I would have used our lathe and made 3/8 - 1/2 reducing bushings. But now that I am retired and my time is more valuable, I'd try to find some long 1/2 bolts and bend them to L shaped as Old Coot suggested.

I haven't lost any T handles from my JTs yet but the do move in travel. I have several spares, but I actually thought about cutting one side of the Tee off and let gravity help.

I just used a 1/2" bolt and welded a pc of 1/2" rod on the head of the bolt.

Whadya mean by "preload" for the other stabilizers?
