The bushings go into the holes on your landing gear "one each side" then the swivel u bracket fits over leg and bushings then the pivot bolt goes through all pieces.

Don't see how a heim helps this situation?

I just don't like bushings with bolts, too much slop in the fits. I connected mine to the pads themselves rather than to the leg posts. Heim joints have a much tighter tolerance and you can bolt them solid so the only movement is the clearance inside the spherical ball. Guess it's just a carry over from using nothing but Heims on race cars.

No I did not, just tell them you need two more sets, tell them you lost them. You don't have to explain why. That was your problem, you tried to explain something to lippert. I just said I had a bushing missing and they really sent 2. You might have to pay for them but they can still sell them to you.... Not many people put them on the level-up system. That is what is confusing them. They First told me I couldn't put them on a electric system, then they said yes you can when they talked to someone else at lippert. Then I went with hydraulic system so I no longer needed them and sold them to BombDoc. You can't use them on Hydraulics being the front legs are set at a 15 degree offset for stabilization.

You might not need them, but you can still install a stabilizer from the frame to the pad.

Only on the big foot pad. It would be sloppy on a 15 degree offset. Big foot makes a pad with a eye in it to connect, but I do not think they are offset. Maybe they are I really don't know, and my trailer is stable enough without hanging more stuff, they made a point of telling me NO, each system is different on what you can and can not do see attached

The need is for a bushing, the Heim is not necessary or even required.

At the end of Round 1

For what it's worth(keep in mind this is on my lowly Sabre so maybe not comparable to your amazing Columbus) I only have jt's on my front legs with 4pt leveling and it seems more solid than when I had them front and rear with rear stabilizers. Fwiw

OC....when you flattened the ends of the black pipe, you heat 'em up? Black pipe being like the pipe sold in HD/Lowes used for natural gas?
