JT's Strong Arm

Just got the JT's delivered and looking forward to installing them on our 313re! Has anyone installed these? Looks fairly straight forward, just don't want to be in over my head! I have all the tools I need and not afraid to use them! Thank you in advance for any tips!

Only advice I can offer is take care where you drill the holes by making sure there is no plumbing or electrical in the way.

Measure twice drill once there easy enough for an entry level installer so if you done any tinkering your good, mine took an hour and a half with one helper.

I put mine on in the RV campground without help one lazy afternoon. Only issue I had was with the back. On my trailer where the arms had to be located, I couldn't go over the to stab jack in the current configuration. I ended up rotating the stab jacks about 22 degrees. Not a real problem to do that either. Just unbolt one of the bolts, rotate, and drill a new hole. Spent more time thinking about the resolution than actually doing it. As mentioned before and I will confirm...... measure twice and drill once. Each trailer will be slightly different but still not that hard.

I ended up running my rear bars to the bumper from the jack.

Did any of you have extra 1-1/4" swing bolts? (If so, PM me). I find that if you mount to a Level Up system, needed are the " big foot" adapters that don't work without a swingbolt being used, which means I will need 8 additional 1-1/4" swing bolts for this installation.

Travel safe & enjoy your journeys!

We installed them, went very easy and quick once I threw away the directions. Wish they would just give some good pictures instead of the novel

Thank you!

Thanks all who replied! I'm installing them today or tomorrow. I agree with more pictures than explanation, but it looks pretty straight forward either way! Happy RV'ing all!

I installed mine last weekend. Had no significant issues other than having an almost 68 yo body doing the job on a railroad gravel shed floor. The old boy got really tired getting down and up so many times! My installation guide had plenty of helpful pictures... many of them in a section near the back. One of my self-tapping bolts lost its threads in the process and one came from the factory with NO threads - and no spares - so I made a 26 mile round trip for replacements.

Ours were put on in a couple of hours on an afternoon.

DH spent hours reading the directions, then got on youtube and found that someone had filmed the process and it made it so much easier to understand.

He was under the trailer and I was the "go-getter". I would go get this and go get that until it was complete. It was a pretty straight-forward operation.

I put the front ones on Sunday, it took about 2 1/2 hours by myself. I really took my time measuring two and three times before drilling! I'll put the back ones on this weekend, should take less than an hour with the knowledge I learned from the front.
