Just finished Tow Vehicle storage

Well it took about 4 weekends from no design to this, but I'm happy to say it's complete and looks fantastic. I needed better access to the tow straps, gloves and other things needed, but always found gear, groceries or other things piled on top of the floor hatch. So I saw this done on other vehicles, so I took a stab. Each side has a removable panel for storage. The deck is on a hinge and can be opened from the back seat to get to the drawers with out getting out of the vehicle. And the drawers are on 28" full extension soft close slides. When pulled out all the way I can put my full weight on it (190lbs). The diamond tread is rubber sheet from amazon, and the drawers are plywood mounted to a steel frame. The whole setup weights ~35lbs.

Just thought I'd share. Click image for larger version

SWEET! Just showed DW and she wondered if I could do/have done for our Armada.

See a lot of these in SUV's of police departments. Solves a myriad of storage problems.

Nice! Is that an Xterra, Pathfinder, or Armada? Looks like an Xterra to me.

Nice job. Don't let the haters get to you. When they critizize, tell em to put their skills on display for all to see. I think you did an excellent job.
