With our new TT in our hands, we've been working on getting it set up the same way we had the old one. I've also been cruising around the boards here looking at what others have done to upgrade things.
The kitchen backsplash was the one thing that bothered me -- I didn't like the idea of wallpaper behind the stove. My DH didn't either, so we did some research. The stick on "gel" tiles seemed nice, but their data all says not to put them as close to the stove as they would be in our set up. We'd have to leave a 15" area open around the stove, which defeats the purpose.
We found info about a product by Fasade that we liked a lot. Found it at Lowe's. Picked it up and installed it this weekend. Easy installation. Nice look.
It took 3 sheets of the product, Loc Tite adhesive, and 3 pieces of their trim.
