Ladder for top bunk?

Curious if anyone with a ROO 25RS (or similar) is using anything as a step or ladder for the front top bunk to make entry/exit easier for children.

Iím thinking about possibly attaching a handle to the W/R cabinet (with reinforcing) to help, but was wondering if there are alternatives.

Using one of the Camping World Bunk Ladders would work, but will kind of create a cage for the dweller of the bottom bunk and pose other issuesÖ

Thoughts, suggestions?

My 25rs came with a ladder for the top bunk, it was under the mattress on the top.....not sure why yours didn't come with it......you should contact the dealer and let him know your missing the ladder.

Hmmm... maybe I missed it in there.
I'll have to check again, and call them if I don't find it.

What does your's look like? Is it a Forest River or Roo specific item, or more of a 'generic 'bunk ladder?

The ladder is a 4 or 5 step wood ladder, not sure if it is roo specific, but I'm sure forest river includes them in all bunk models.........it was under the top bunk mattress. My oldest sleeps up there and she really does not need it, but we bring it along for the younger ones.

Just checked again, no ladder under either of the bunk mattresses.
(I didn’t think there was, as I it would have been found already)
Guess I’ll call the dealer to ask.

MrSen,
Is the ladder that you have fairly narrow (can the sleeper in the lower bunk get in/out with it in place)?
Does it have hooks to attach to the top bunk rail?
Is it a straight, or angled ladder when in position?

Don’t mean to be a pest about such a small item, only asking as if the ‘factory’ ladder doesn’t meet my needs, I’ll probably just fabricate a solution of my own.

Thanks!

My '03 FR Flagstaff 25LB came with one from factory too - again don't use it but it wouldn't cage lower occupants in too much.

Yes, it is a very narrow ladder with no problem getting in and out from the lower bunk.

It is a straight ladder, It has no hooks at all, it just has two rubber pads under each leg so it does not slide.

Pest? No way. If you don't get it from the dealer, then it would probably be real easy to fabricate one.

Oh look, I found a pic.......lol

It looks like I lied in one of my other posts......it only has 3 steps.

And now I can post a pic of my ladder.

Homemade, and the design spec for it was written by an 8 year old.

Nice ladder! I had to build a ladder also for the bunks in our trailer too. Have to take some pics now.

Great job!
