Ladder storage idea

Bought one of those collapsible ladders when we bought our first 5th wheel years ago. Really never needed it till now. I WAS storing it in the basement. I had to just about empty it to get the ladder out.

(DING!!!) Idea bulb goes off....

I do not store my sewer hose in the bumper. Why not store the ladder in the bumper??
It fits!!!

Ok. I found one made by GP Logistics. Quick google search you’ll find one. Kind of pricy. Love the compact nature but will pay a pretty penny for it.

That is pretty cool!

However, you should put a lock on that somehow as it might just grow legs and walk away when you aren't looking.

Looks like it comes in 5', 6', or 7'. Might have to invest in one of these. Looks like it would be perfect since it fits in the bumper.

the SLD-D6 and SLD-D7 are the DOUBLE sided models((steps on both sides), they fold down to 3 1/2 x 4 1/2,... won't fit a 4 x 4 bumper, but should fit in a 5" vinyl post mod, ...

the SLD-S5 and SLD-S6 are the SINGLE sided models(steps on one side), they fold down to 3 1/2 x 3 1/2, ... should fit in a 4" bumper, ...

you can tell the OP has an "S" model(steps on one side), because the top red feet in his pics are smaller than the bottom red feet, ... if it was the "D" model(steps on both sides), both top and bottom red feet would be the same size, ...

I have the 7' double sided model. Measured this morning. No way it will fit in the bumper.

Here's another storage option.

7' Double sided.

Fence post cover.

Hinged cap.

Neat solution. Can you post pics on how you attached it to the frame?
Thanks

A friend of mine has one of these (telescoping) but it won't fit in your bumper or fence post tube. Still, a great ladder that takes up a small amount of room.

I have the same type double-sided folding ladder that I store in the basement of our Wildcat 5th wheel since it's too big to fit in the bumper. I just laid the fence post into the basement first and stack whatever else in on top of the fence post...then I can still slide the ladder in or out whenever I need it without having to move all the stuff on top of it.

The ladder lets me reach the top of the slides fairly easily (I'm 6" tall) but I'll admit it can be a little harrowing when trying to reach the top of the bedroom slide as I sometimes have to be on or near the top step depending on the terrain.

I have a 6ft aluminum ladder that I was thinking of maybe adding extensions to the feet, maybe not very stable but maybe enough to get the snow off my slides

Thanks for the link... like the solution of not drilling holes. You should make a bunch of hangers and sell them.
