LCD TV Install in 2015 Wildwood X Lite 261BHXL (fixed factory mistake)

Wanted to post a few pictures to show that it is very easy to install a LCD TV mounted to the wall near hookups as designed on my new 2015 Wildwood X Lite 261BHXL.

I looked everywhere online but never found photos or brands of mounts and hardware etc so wanted to share to help others.

Purchased a 24" Visio LCD, full motion mount and component audio/video cables.

Found the "stud" in middle of wall and began to install mount.

Realized the lag bolts provided were an inch too long and would have gone through the wall to the bunk beds. (and recommended for RVs)

So I purchased 2 x 1 1/2" 5/16 lag bolts matching the ones that came with the mount just shorter and it did the trick.

Pre drilled and installed , went very smooth until I got to test out the DVD player.

Turns out the video cable was not plugged in at all and left pre wired behind the unit. I needed a square bit screw driver to pull the unit out and plugged into Video Out and all worked! (this is not uncommon as I read someone else took the trailer back to dealer to get fixed )

Anyways works great attached are some photos of parts and completed product.

Great Job!! (Those factory mistakes are the incentives to make things better. I think it's planned). My radio was wired so that the two interior speakers were tied to the left channel. Outside were tied to the r+l. They expected you to use the balance to fade from inside and out. Bought a fader and rewired the speakers. Since I was in there, I installed an 8" sub to go along with it.

Great post! Having read hundreds of posts dealing with installing a tv in the bedroom , this seems to be one thing that a lot of people who have never done something like this before have trouble with. A lot of manufacturers just put a piece of scrap wood
between the wall and put a decal letting you know where to install it. If they just installed a versa tv bracket when built the trailer
It would make it a lot easier, but I guess the dealer profits from those who are intimidated by doing on their own.
