My only concern with the above bulb is that it will sit very close to the reflector on top and the cover at the bottom, due to its size, issues with heat for sure I think...

I prefer the flat panel design, once it is secured to the top it only send light and heat down and is as far as can be from the cover.

It runs far cooler than an incandescent, so heat will not be an issue.

So I did some testing last night....

I reinstalled one of the scorching hot incandescent bulbs (a 921) in the fixture and let the fixture run with both the LED and the 921 turned on.

Temps measured with a Fluke brand Infrared temp gun were 140 deg F for the incandescent, and about 80 deg F for the LED. This was the temperature of the lens.

I took the lens off, and measured the temp right behind the bulb... 240 deg F for the incandescent, and about 140 ish for the LED.

Led replacement lights

I have seen a few posts on led lights, I have replaced one of the hanging spots in my rockwood 8285ws, with a LED bulb I picked up at camper world and I have to say I love it, it's the BA15S, part number 52625, it fit very nicely in the fixtue, the light is a bit bluer then the old one but very bright and cool to the touch. I would like to replace the other lights especially the double ceiling lights in those fixtures that you find in all campers. The bulb is a wedge type. RG921, and I'd like to find a good replacement for those next, and a better source for the $$$, I have spent a lot of time on google but I just don't have any experience with the online stuff, any suggestions of good places, and issues to watch for? Thanks every one..

Try this site http://www.superbrightleds.com/ reasonable prices and shipping.I bought some 921-12 and got a warm white 3200k and what they call a natural white 7000k but at 7000k I thought it would have some blue in it but it didnt,it was a nice white light, tech guy said it is more like 5000k and I would agree. I paid 5.95ea plus
2.99 for shipping.I replaced my ceiling lamps in my 2306. Good luck.
