LED Light Voltage Regulator

We have the Bright Ideas Model # SL206M2 LED light packs, 6 LED's per pack in our CC 36 CKTS. These units can operate on 10.5 to 15.5 volts DC. Not wanting to over drive the small 52/HD06 voltage regulator on the light unit its self I installed a DSWY2596 (LM2596S) adjustable output regulator in line with a max of 3 light packs per regulator and adjusted output for 11.5 volts. The regulator will not bust voltage but limit it to 11.5 volts insuring a constant voltage level and hopefully increasing life of LED’s. The regulator can handle 2 amps and up to 3 amps with heat sink, the units I used have heat sinks and can be found by just Googleing DSWY2596 voltage regulator, you can find them for around $2.00 per unit, cheap compared to LED replacement.
