LED opinions??

Hey guys I'm in the process of upgrading the interior lights to LED's and have an opinion question. The interior lights are the 2 post G4 halogen bulbs (the most common bulb in RV's I'm finding) so my question is which bulbs do you think would look and operate better? I've seen the bulbs which are in the shape of a light bulb with LED's all the way around and then I've seen them in the shape of a pancake with LED's on just one side, thus eliminating the reflective cup the light sits in. Which do you think would be best?

I replaced all of them in my fifth wheel with the flat type. They aren't as bright as the incandescent but I'm fine with that. What's nice is I can turn all of them on with a very minimal draw

Mark do you know which color light you went with, warm or cool? I know the warm lights aren't as bright

I bought some called super warm. Amazon.com. 10 for $20.99. I'm sure you can get better but I bought my wheeler in March and put these in right away. I've used them more then average I would say with no failures. Hope it helps

I got on the bandwagon with these a few months back. No complaints so far. They are the warm white style. I will say this about them, you will notice some yellow tint/spots when the light shines on light colored items. It's not bothersome but it is part of the cast of the light.

I also have some of the flat type, not real impressed with their output. The other ones put out alot more light. Keep in mind where you put them, they can be a bit harsh for over the bed lighting.

Depends on your eyesight and if you read alot...as to color and where placed.

Brush hog, the style may depend on the space you have available in your fixture. I replaced some G4 bulbs in pot lights in our bathroom with the pancake style bulb and they barely fit. If the other style were the same length, they likely wouldn't fit.

I got these:

They are only slightly whiter than the original incandescent bulbs but are brighter.

The one thing I found with this G4 pin type was that I had to remove the fixture from the ceiling in order to be able to see the tiny holes into which the pins had to be inserted.
