level mounted on pin box cover

wanted a level but did not want to get rid of the pin box cover. So I made brackets out of 7075-T6 aluminum and mounted to existing cover screws,

Mounted mine just above the pin box because my flag holder/light goes on the pin box.

I know this might sound like a strange question, since my new one did not come with a level. I bought one to install on my own. But how do you determine what is level when you mount it to the camper. Is there a secret to it?

Golflover, I've heard people say that you should level to all sorts of places:

1) Use the floor of the freezer
2) Get it level to where you're comfortable (possibly even with slides out) and then mount the level according to that
3) Use the bottom of the frame to level against
4) Picture of water on a counter or simply a level on a counter

All seem like good possibilities. There was a thread yesterday about figuring out where level is. I know it can be a challenge, I can change how level we are or aren't simply by moving the level on the floor.

I determined level from the molding on the side and rear of the trailer and then mounted the level. Turns out it is within 1/2-1/4 of a bubble on a 2' carpenters level just about anywhere on the floor or counter which is plenty close enough. If TOWTA complains about stove not being level, I will tweak it whichever way it needs and let it go.
