Lippert Flow Down system.

Has anyone tried to make a home made system like this?

RV Sewer Hose Support System

It looks like a great concept. Just push the rods into the dirt and the braces support the pvc track?

The system seems a bit high at $90 USD. There must be a way to make one.

After seeing the other thread on the sewer storage mod. I wonder if one can use the end of a 6" U clamp. Replace the U with threaded rod.

Thoughts?

Vin.

That's a lot of money for such a small outlay on their part, seems more like Canadian pricing, you could make this yourself for just a few dollars, I used a four inch piece of drain pipe and cut it length ways into three they are four feet long and store easily.

Never used a support of any kind since we started camping. Just lay it on the ground, drain the tanks, lift the hose to empty and put it away.

I rarely support my hose. Only had a problem once, but I think it was more to do with excess hose on the ground than lack of slope.

This does look like a decent idea. I can't imagine justify the price, though. You can accomplish most of the same idea with a piece of gutter and extra leveling blocks.

Like OC don't use support system, wasted money buying one, just something to take up space leave it at home now. Will bring one to FROG if someone really wants it come and get it at camp site.

I do have to admit, the supported hoses look nice and neat, but IMO, they are strictly for show and don't really help anything.

If you have a rain gutter as a tray in your fence post storage tube, use that. Prop up the end closest to the trailer. I have an Andersen Rapid Jack that I can use as a support.

As others have said, though, it's not essential. Just lift the trailer end when you're draining the black tank or putting the hose away.

I have one of those accordion style ones and I use it rarely. We just don't spend a lot of time in one spot.
