Mattress topper

I am wondering what the best mattress topper is. Looking to make the factory mattress a bit more comfortable.

Just like regular mattresses, the "best" is going to vary from person to person. We usually buy our toppers from Bed, Bath, and Beyond, using their coupons to keep prices within reason.

I find a 2-3" thick topper is all I need. My wife thinks differently. We just cut a 4.5" topper to fit the short and narrow "twin" beds in our A-frame. In pop-ups and Murphy beds, clearances may limit the thickness you can use.

We just ordered a couple of Lucid Memory foam ones from Amazon for the kids. A 3” for the boy and a 2” for the girl....because of course they couldn’t have the same one . Used an electric knife to cut them to fit there bunk beds and they worked perfectly. Also have the same brand on our bed pretty happy with it and well priced.

We have a 4" memory foam on our queen size. I've found it makes the difference between sleeping or not for me. I'm pretty sure it was from BB&B on a 20% coupon.

We looked at BB&B and then looked at Costco. Costco had a thicker, better quality memory foam topper for basically the same price (slightly cheaper but the difference in price wouldn’t have swayed us to buy the BB&B model if it was better).

After reading through this forum, we ended up with a 2.5" gel memory foam from Amazon and it worked great. So great, that my wife decided that we needed a new mattress at home.

We needed a new home mattress after adding a topper to the camper, too. We ended up buying an inexpensive & hard mattress, then added a 4" gel memory foam topper. Saved at least $500 by not buying the fancy memory-foam inner spring mattress.

[I've officially wandered almost completely off topic]

I totally agree with pgandw. What’s best for every person will be different. That said, we bought a Lucid 3” Bamboo Charcoal memory foam mattress topper for the bed in our new 5er and I wish we had opted for the 4”. The 3” worked fine in our previous TT but then we bought it used so the mattress had already been softened.

We opted for a 3 inch copper infused memory foam. Very comfortable. We bought ours at a local shop. But they are no longer in business. I have seen them at Aldi if you have one. I have seen them half priced if they have one or two left and want to move them.
