Max air cover and fantastic fans

So I am helping a friend get their rv ready for their cross country trip. I recommend maxx air fan covers so they can leave the fans open but they have the fantastic fan model 7000 that has the power open and close. My question is for those that have this model fantastic fan is does it stop opening once the fan cover comes into contact with the lid? Which one did you all get? Just didn’t want to get one that would break his fan.

I have the same model fan and questioned the mfgr about the lid hitting the vent cover (also a Fantastic model). Was told it’s normal and no damage will be done. The lift motor becomes de-energized when any resistance is sensed. It’s a great product.

I had a Max air cover and it worked great with my fantastic fan, unfortunately my Trav’ler hit the cover once in awhile so the cover had to come off. We hardly ever use the fantastic fan

In our last RV, we almost never used ours either. As we turned them up, made a lot of noise and we didn't think it was that fantastic. I know people love them but our two (Bathroom and kitchen) were loud and not used that much.

I have the exact setup you are planning to install, the motor is designed to stop when the lid touches the vent cover.

I just bought two of the Fanmate covers. They both came with the hardware needed for the Fantastic Fan.

I have two Fantastic Fans with the auto cover. When I purchased my Max covers I told the parts desk I would be using with the fans and the ones they sold me are high enough to keep the fan cover from touching. Sorry, but I don’t know the model number but your parts department should know.
