MaxxAir vs. Camco vent covers

Need to install a vent cover. Looking at brands, the Camco is slightly less than 1/2 the price of the MaxxAir in the smoke color ($27 vs $56). Are the Camco any good?

Or conversely, are the MaxxAir worth twice as much?

IMO the Maxxair are easier to clean because of the hinged hardware. The whole cover is hinged, not just the screened area. And the Maxxair has a 6 year warranty. I can't be sure but I think the Maxxair are a thicker plastic too.

I used the black Maxxair on my roof, (3) everything was black and did want to keep it that way. The Maxx 2 is hinged, the regular Maxxair is not, dif. prices.

I can’t comment on the Camco but can say I’ve used the MaxxAir on the last 3 RVs.
On the current I have the MaxxAir II on all the vents.
The MaxxAir II are hinged so you can clean inside really easy!
With the MaxxAir covers I leave the vents open all year long to eliminate condensation.

I will continue to use the MaxxAir line. Stay with what works!

Vent Covers

I also went with the MaxAirs. The vent in the bath would only take the vent cover made by Fan Static. Check your bath vent before you get a cover and see if it is made by Fan Tastic. The Max Air will not fit. Frank

Good point!
I forgot about that.
I have a Maxx on the bathroom power vent but could not use one on the kitchen.

When we bought our Grey Wolf last year I almost put the Camco covers on, but then I saw that another local dealer had the MaxxAir vents for $20 as part of their "open house" promotion. So I ended up going there and buying the Maxxair covers, I had them on our last one also.

Good info. I also want to change out the fan. Maybe I should be looking for a package deal.

Why won't they fit the Fan Tastic vents? My camper is being stored at my brothers and I have a max air ll waiting to go on it.

I used the create a breeze model that has less resistance to flow if you have a fan.

Fan-tastic Ultrabreeze Vent Covers - Product - Camping World

after using them for awhile I do think they flow better with a fan than the camco.

they permit the fan hood to open higher also,

I was coming here to compare the Fan-tastic Ultrabreeze to the Maxx Air Fan Mate, so this is good to read! I like the price of the ultrabreeze better as well.
