Maxxfan Ventilator system

Had a Maxxfan remote control ventilator system installed in our coach today.
Impressive! This thing will seriously pull and push air, has 10 speeds at 100% speed it is a little noisey.....but well worth it. Had it installed in the galley area. It also functions as a ceiling fan and can be run with the vent cover closed.

I installed two last year and more than pleased.
Friends are also installing in their new unit. She is too short to reach switches. Saves standing on stool

I put one in the bedroom vs 2nd AC unit. So far so good but it is only MAR. Easy to do and will function when underway as well. integrated rain shield is a plus.

12 vdc is available if there is a closet or other place an overhead light is placed. Wiring normally follows the easiest path for placement. If the vent is prewired for AC then for sure. Just remove the trim ring and look for wires. Test light or VOM will confirm voltage.

I have a standard double light with the on/off switch near the vent. How do I run the power from the light to the vent, naturally I would want the fan to run even when the light is off? Is there some where, where I can find a diagram or internet sight on how to? We bought the MAXXFAN STD 4500K SM. I was told that is was easy to hook up, we will see.

Remove the trim skirt from the vent (4 screws) and take down the skirt. Look into the space and locate the wires for the light. The wires BEFORE the light should be hot, always. The light is switched after the wires passing to it. Just tap into those wires,in parallel to the light, find + and - make connections and all is good. Easy.

This is looking into the roof/ceiling interface with the vent skirt removed. The white/yellow 12 vdc wire with yellow + is before the light in the closet. I just tapped into it for the fan.

Maxxfan

Thank you for the response, I am hoping to get this mod. done before I leave for Goshen. I also have to put in the new black tank sensors, Horst Miracle Probes, & since I am still working, well you know, TIME, thanks again. Al., if you are going to the rally in Goshen, come over & have a drink.
