Mesh for entertainment center cabinet door

One of four doors on my entertainment center has a fine mesh screen insert. I believe this is for the sub woofer. The door where I have my satellite receiver is solid wood and won't receive a signal from the remote unless I open the door. I would like to install mesh screen on this door also.
I could use Plexiglas, but I prefer not to have three different type of insert material.
Does anyone know where I can get this type of screen mesh? I don't recall ever seeing it before.
I have swapped the doors temporarily.

Id check into an upholstery shop or a craft store for the materials you seek !
Or even a automotive stereo installer .

Some alternatives. Check w/ your satellite company about an RF (radio freq) remote. My Directv remote is switchable from IR to RF. Also, you could install an IR receiving eye (looks like a small LED) into the cabinet to feed the receiver. Available at Radio Shack.

Sounds like you might have something that is like black speaker fabric? If so, you can get it at Parts Express: the #1 source for audio, video & speaker building components

I have Dish Network and I will check with them on the RF remote. I assume the RF will transmit through wood.
As far as the IR eye, I'm not very electronics savvy and would not know what connects to what and or where to begin.

A small section of black nylon window screen might do the job.

Actually the material is made of metal.
I checked the link and all I could find was fabric.

What kind of unit do you have? It would be worth a call to the parts department of that division to see of the grill is available.

Why not find screen/mesh that you like and replace the original too? Then both would match perfectly.

That's ultimately what I'll have to do, if all else fails.

You may try a Home Depot or Lowes. They have various styles of metal screen in there metal hardware area. You may have to change both doors so they screens match.

KISS method - Change your remote to UHF.
Change UHF Band - 6 Remote

No swapping doors, cutting, buying material. Have DISH on the phone while to do this. Yes it works through walls and you can have the signal feed into the BR and use a remote while lying in bed!

Unfortunately this will not work on the stand alone receiver, which is the one in the RV. It will only work on the 2nd tv/remote on the dvr receiver.
