Micro Switches on Storage Doors

Has anyone added micro switches to the storage doors to turn the lights on automatically? The micro switches could be bypassed by turning the light off at the fixture.

Got all 3 micro switches mounted, 2 hooked up and waiting on the 3rd light fixture to arrive. Like the functionality of the lights coming on when the doors are opened and being able to turn them off also when the lights are not needed.
