Microwave noodle
Here we go. Simple yet effective. Micro rotating plate will now stay in place.

X2, I have been using the shipping styrofoam that came with the microwave and was wondering what I was going to do when those pieces wore out. Little chips of styrofoam have been breaking off on every trip.
Thanks!

It's our bread box, so no movement, great idea though.

Pool noodles are wonderful RV acces. We put one between the head of the mattress and the RV wall when it is cold outside to keep condensation forming on wall/mattress.

well, if you remove the plate then that's another item that has to have a place to be,...... but my main reason for liking this idea is to avoid the hassle of having to replace the plate back on the center drive every time we get to the campground, it always get jarred off, .....the microwave is up high, so sight into it isn't good for me and my wife is short so she doesn't even try this,.......but, trying to line the drive knobs up with the knobs on the plate sometimes is a hassle for me and removing the plate each time would bring that same problem when putting it back in place,......much easier to stick a noodle in and prevent the plate from coming off the drive knobs and avoid that hassle, ......but that's just me, others may have other reasons,....... bottom line is, I think its a clever idea, glad John5646 shared it

Very clever, indeed! We store one of our couch pillows in the microwave - but I like this a lot, too!

Isn't the plate the mechanism that turns the food when cooking??

OK, I skipped right over this post at first because I wasn't looking for microwave noodle recipes. Came back to it and glad I did. Great low cost tip.
You could even borrow from the baby sock on the antenna crank idea and store the noodle in sight of the drivers seat when you take it off as a reminder to "install" before moving.

Good alternate approach ... we just wrap our turntable in a dish towel, turn it upside down, and put it right back in the microwave since we usually take it out to clean it prior to leaving the campsite anyways. I know what you are sayin about indexing the glass plate on the drive cog though.
