I have a smaller TT (20 ft) Canyon Cat 17qbc. The steps leave a lot to be desired when you are on an uneven camp site a and you feel like you are climbing a ladder going in or out. I would like to make some kind of mod to 1. make the step bigger and a little lower to the ground. Mayby 2 steps. Right now its a single slide step. Anyone done this before? Thanks
Any chance that you have a picture of what you have now? It might help with suggestions.
We use these RV Safety Steps for various things when we need some help outside. Expensive, but nice:

I like the bolt on step; I may have to do that.
I was going to say if you plan on increasing your steps form 1 to 2 or from 2 to 3 you might think about when parked next to a curb they might be to low to use.
I also think my steps are too short and so I carry a step(same as pictured above). I find the step comes in handy in many other ways too like cleaning windows. If the ground is very uneven I have done some digging to level out the step.
