Modified Lamp

My 5th wheel has two rockers with a table between them with a lamp mounted on the table. This fixture is 120v which means we'll rarely use it since we usually dry camp.

I brought 12v close by and added an outlet. I found a 25watt (equivilent) LED bulb on Amazon which draws just over 6 watts and fits into a standard 120v light bulb socket. All I had to do was replace the lamp plug with a 12v plug making the center contact on the bulb socket positive.

The bulb was $22, outlet $8, plug $6 and two hours work.

Works well either dry camping or hooked up to power. I do have a 60 watt 12v bulb to replace the LED while hooked up to power but remember that that's 5 amps alone on one circuit.
