Here are some mods that have been on my TO-DO list for quite some time.
1. Previous owner removed the 2 drawers to install a winch. He only gave me one drawer though, since he misplaced the other one. My plan was to install a cabinet door to cover up exiting hole (bottom cabinet). After a few months of searching, I found a similar door at Bontranger's Surplus (
Welcome to Bontrager's Surplus Inc.) for $5. Went to OSH to find some hinges and matching stain. I was able to reuse the handle from the drawer that I had (just needed to get shorter screws).
2. Inverter outlet installed in wall. I probably should have installed it higher up on the wall, so the power cords wouldn't have to be fed down.
3. Installed a Samlex 300 pure sine wave inverter. I ran 10 gauge wire to the battery disconnect point (a convenient 12V tap), and another 10 gauge wire down to the battery. I then ran romex to the outlet.
4. Monoprice $10 TV mount. I had to add a piece of plywood to reinforce the bottom of the cabinet. It was a pain trying to pry off the bottom panel inside the cabinet. The TV is able to fold up, but I don't plan on driving with the TV installed.
That's it for now! Can't wait to take her out for Memorial Day!
