Mounting towel bars on walls

Hi,

just got a Nitro 24FQS toyhauler. I would like to mount some towel racks on the walls. How are the interior walls made? There is some kind of thin wall covering that appears to be paneling, but you can push against it and feel nothing. Is their anything behind there? Studs, foam or what?

Also I needed to remove the cabinet that contains the monitoring system (actually make it narrower so that my Polaris RZR roof isn't so close to it) but found out that the jokers at Forest River mount the cabinets with the screws from the OUTSIDE! Now talk about stupid........

I'm going to suggest getting a stud finder. I tried mine on the rear wall where my tv mounts. Mine works on metal and wood studs.

You can put up several for each person, and you can remove them with no damage and put them somewhere else if you want, they have different colors and styles and wieght limits. Better than drilling holes!!!

The interior walls are hollow without many studs at all. I mounted a 3 towel rack on the wall of our camper using hollow door anchors. Here's a link to that type of anchor...

When we got our new camper, there were no towel holders, toothbrush holders, or toilet paper holders, however we found them in a bottom drawer in the kitchen, to make a long story short they did not install them they leave that yup to the customer for the placement. After much deliberatrion, we decided to go with a floor stand toilet paper haoled, a sink stand for the hand towels, and an over the door towel hanger. All movable to allow placement in differewnt places. We are hasppy with our decision.

Dave - the Hollow Door Anchor is just what I was looking for. I have the over the door towel rods now but don't care for the way they slide around. If I was going to continue to use them they would have to be screwed in on the top of the door. But I like your suggestion better. Thanks.

I used short drywall Molly bolts, they work stellar and cost about .75 each
