Mud Flaps

I've noticed mud and water on the rear stairs on our trailer after traveling..... so I'm thinking of figuring out how to mount some mud flaps behind the tires.... this would keep the rear stairs free of most of the mud, dirt and water....

I'll let you guys know what I find and document the mod........

I have some 12" x 12" x 1/4" rubber sheet to use for flaps but they don't hang down far enough for my liking. I am going to get 12" x 24" x 1/4" sheet and cut them to the length I want. I am also trying to keep the steps clean(er) and protect the dump piping on the other side.
Here is what I have;
GRAINGER APPROVED VENDOR Rubber, Buna-N, 1/4 In Thick, 12 x 12 In - Rubber Sheets and Strips - 1XYA2|4040-1/4A - Grainger Industrial Supply
and I am going to get something like this;
GRAINGER APPROVED VENDOR Rubber, Buna-N, 1/4 In Thick, 12 x 24 In - Rubber Sheets and Strips - 1DRA9|5340-1/4HGB - Grainger Industrial Supply

NAPA, Car Quest and truck stops have inexpensive full size flaps.

You can also buy a horse stall mat at a local ag store. Comes 6x4 and usually 1/4 thick. Cut to size. Cheaper than auto mats at approx $35.

Hey, get the chrome stripper on the mudflaps. You'll be the hit of the campground.

"Chrome stripper"? You must be referring to Mud Flap Girl - and I think I'm in love with her. She's mine and you can't have her!
