My first mod to my Grey Wolf 26DBH

It's only a small mod, it came from the factory with the rear rack, but I wanted to be able to mount the bicycles securely. Still going to add one more fork mount on the other side, I can squeeze one more in the middle. I think I'm ok with weight leaving the spare hanging.

Ordering LEDs next. Gonna put em everywhere. 😜

Ok do the axel over under kit. So nice to have the clearance . I have a generator mounted on the back rack. I did the multi color LED strip with remote. I placed it under the drip rail and ran the wire inside the cupboards to the exterior light power. I changed the lights inside to LED as well. Next it new 6volt batteries, and new speakers for inside. The stock ones are crap. Enjoy your new unit. It's off to the Alberta Rockies for us in a coupe of weeks!

We take our bikes with us as well, nothing fancy, just crusing around on them, but the bike rack that came on my Columbus will not fit a 26 inch bike into the slots, it is too mush distance between the tire slots. We still take them I put 1 tire in and I strap them down good.

I'm a bicycle officer and its important to me that my kids enjoy riding as well. We all get around everywhere on em, even the three year old with his training wheels. The DW has a small trailer she pulls that used to carry the kids, but now holds the towels and coolers for trips to the pool or beach.

YA we do a lot of Down Hill as well. Check out the crazy trails in Nelson BC. we do a trip there every year. Several movies were filmed there. We also ride in Golden BC. We have hired a chopper to take us to the top of mount 7 in that town. In Nelson talk to the locals and the bike shop for shuttles and hidden trail! It will be nice to have the new trailer this year and not have to stay in their small hostel.

Hey NOLA.. I have the same TT (2014 Grey Wolf 26 DBH), what size generator do you have. I was looking to get one to run the whole TT. 3K watts? 5k watts? what do you suggest?

Haven't started shopping for generators yet. We've relied on park service on all of our trips so far. Not sure if I'll need one anytime soon. If if I evacuate my family in the event of a hurricane, I'll find a full service spot wherever we go. Let me know what you find out though. I'm interested in knowing how it works out for ya.

NOLA, I have been thinking of going the same route as you for carrying our bikes on our Grey Wolf. The only thing that concerns me is that it looks like the spare tire will only be 12" or so off the ground, have you had any issues with the spare tire contacting the ground?

I found the fork mounts, but I haven't been able to find the anything to secure the rear tire with, what are you using?

I pulled the spare and put it in the back of my Tahoe. It's brand new, clean in the cover and I don't carry anything else in the TV other than kids and a dog. I tried it the first time. I lost a bumper cap which told me it was bouncing the bumper too much with the weight of the spare hanging in that position.

Thanks for the reply! But our spare would have to stay on the rack since putting the spare in the bed of the truck isn't an option for me. We usually have the front 2 feet of the bed fulled with fire wood, then 2 coolers, the bike trailer and our daughters bike all in there so its pretty much full.

It looks like I may just have a receiver hitch built for the rear of the camper and use the bike rack that we now use in the bumper mounted receiver (that I want to get rid of).
