Thanks Ben, I'm retired and have too much time on my hands which is evident.

I would use my extra 5 gallon portable tank for both the BBQ and extend-a-stay while at a campsite. I 'm concerned about the propane consumption on longer 5+ day trips in the winter where the furnace comes into play. So this would give me a cushion.
Dave, here is the extend-a-stay thru Amazon. There is a good video on you tube on how to install it. I have this on my wish list so I can hook up my Weber Q when I plan to grill near the coach.

Today Bilstein Stabilizer and bathroom lever knobs

Today I installed a Bilstein steering stabilizer with little difficulty once I bought an 18mm deep socket.
The DW didn't like the door knob on the bathroom door as the sink is the outside the shower/toilet area and wanted a lever instead for sanitary reason.

Added water pump switch next to vanity

The only water pump switch is located on the control panel above the fridge. Very inconvenient at night. We have to step down into the kitchen in the dark to the panel and turn it on. Then turn it off when done as the light is annoying at night. I added a switch next to the vanity sink combining it with the light switch. Both the control panel switch and the new vanity switch can turn on the water pump, but we have to use the same switch that turns it on to turn it off which is no problem. The control panel W/P light will come on when either switch is on.

Dammit Dave...my wife reads all these threads and now I have to put in a shelf / add the switches / door handles / etc. How did you hook up the wiring to the pump switch in bathroom?

No problem Dave...I just add them to my "to do" list. This weekend is shocks. I don't understand why there isn't a pump switch in the bathroom already. Luckily my coach holds pressure just fine so I can leave the pump on all the time...so far! I also bought a led light to install on the outside rear wall over the trailer hitch to light up that area for hooking up the toad. I also have a Tv / Sat / Stereo tech looking into the coach wiring to get switches to control outdoor tv / speakers combinations (as in sat to outside and bedroom tvs - use outside stereo / tv with big speakers)

Jim, I would like to rewire my outdoor speakers from the dash radio to the outdoor radio below my TV. I will have to remove my sofa and look at the mess of wiring behind the sub-woofer. I may also add a switch next to the outdoor TV to kill power and parasitic drain. Those 2 speakers below the TV for Cd/DVD and radio are not sounding too good. I met someone with a 2015 Forester and he changed speakers and added a amp.
Any ideas on the outdoor system?

Question about the pump switch... why do you not just leave the pump on when you are camping? I turn mine off for driving (usually) and storage. But not when parked camping.

Creativepart, we have had plumbing problems in our old Winnebago and the Forester. We shut it off when we are driving, when we leave it during the day and at night. Our kitchen has the faux granite counter top with a sink lid and sometimes it drips. We have been aligning the cutout with the faucet. Using the bathroom sink at night in the dark when half sleep, it sometimes on rare occasions it hasn't been shut off all the way. That's why we shut the pump off as a backup. Just a habit for us old folks.

Latest Mod!

The DW has issues with the Convenience Panel, especially the lights for the kitchen and Livingroom. She has difficulty reaching the switches and is vertically challenged. See can't read whats what and in the dark it's impossible. So I moved the switches down along the wall for easy access removing the switch and plugging it. I bought a SPDT switch so the living room switch will work in the step well as before allowing either spot to turn it on or off.

I read about your light switch change before seeing the photos and I couldn't figure out why you needed to make that change. Then when I saw your photos I was shocked that Forest River put that panel all the way up there. On my 3051s that exact panel is at eye level at the top of the entry stairs. No problem for either of us to see and reach it there.

How big of a pain was this? Mine is up there as well.

Have you thought about moving / setting up a generator switch on the dashboard?

Drakethib- Moving the light switches down along the fridge wall was very easy compared to routing the wiring for the water pump switch over to the bathroom vanity.
Why move the generator switch to the dash? Our generator is seldom used and the switch although up at the top of the panel it's not an issue at this time. Same thing with the water heater.

We live in Southeast Texas and pretty well need to run our gen all of the time for comfort reasons ( kid in the coach, just to hot). I hate having the gen running when will pull into a campground. It is a pita to stop get up, turn off the granny get back in seat and drive. Of Course we need to figure out a way to remote the coach a/c as well so we can turn it off prior to shutoff of the gen

May install this!

Found this on the web and Amazon has it.Three Hole Panel Car DC Digital Voltmeter Dual USB 2 Port Cigarette Socket Light. Thought about mounting it on the wood railing atop the sofa back.

Rewired Outdoor speakers

For the past few days, I have been working on rewiring my Upper outdoor speaker's control from the dash radio to the outdoor entertainment center radio/cd/dvd below the TV. I used the switch in the entry that controls the on/off of the speakers. Speakers are much louder now. I utilized the cut off wires on the back of the O/D radio that would have been marked front R/L. It would have been a lot quicker and easier with a schematic. Routed the speaker wires back into the cabinet and down in the void above the cabinet lights and switches. Did a lot of fishing today. At the other end of the cabinet. I drilled a small hole next to the valence and ran the wires down the side valence to the sofa and on to the back of the radio. There is about 2 inches of wire exposed and I will make a cover to hide them.
The next project will be the solar early next year.
