My RV Modifications to date

Just a few modifications I added to our new RV.

Took the advice and installed the Oxygenics Showerhead

Added a wireless router that will allow us to have our own network and connect to the campsite network. Also added a Roku that connects to the RV wireless router. We use the Roku to watch Netflix and other online content.

OBDLink MX to monitor the engine, gas millage etc. This is the Bluetooth version

Torque monitoring application on my HP Slate 7 tablet for the OBDLink MX

LED light bulb replacement for the shower - bought on Amazon

LED Lights throughout the coach

Looks good frird. I'm convinced half of the fun of an RV is adding mods to get it where you want it. Thanks for the pics.

May I ask how you connect to the wireless and then broadcast your own network? We go to a few campsites and the wifi is so weak it would be nice to make my own.

OmDaBomB- using DD-WRT, I put a router in my coach that has it's own wireless network SSID. Lets call it coachwifi, all my devices then connect to coachwifi only. In my wireless router I then connect to the camp site wireless. My router will bridge my coachwifi network to the camp site wireless network. You can then connect an external onmidirectional antenna to the router in order to get a better signal. I plan on installing an external antenna to the retractable TV antenna then attache it to one of the antenna inputs of my router. This also allows me to stream movies etc from my laptop if the camp site wireless goes down or isn't available.

Additional information:
Wlan Repeater

Here is a package setup that has the whole setup in one.

More Modifications

Foam Vent covers

Installed a 30amp RV plug in our garage. Even though we can't store the coach at home we can plug in and stay comfortable while loading it up for our trips.

Cup holder mount for my tablet/phone

Thank you so much. Now I feel so dumb cause I knew that I just didn't know that. I also have the torque app on my tablet, does yours ever crash or restart? Also what tv do you have? In my truck the tablet likes to restart randomly every 30 seconds or so then all of the sudden it stays on for a half hour in the torque app.

So far the Torque app hasn't had issues nor has my tablet. I did see a new update that was done recently, are you on the latest version?

The TV is the one that came with the coach, 19 inch Jensen I believe. Planing on upgrading to a 28-32 inch LED and moving the 19 inch to the rear bedroom.

Additional mods

MaxxAir and MaxxAir II vents

Hitch extension and bike rack - extension gets the bikes a little higher from the ground

30 amp surge/low voltage protector

Insulation between plastic skylight covers - helps reduce head gain/loss and light

Solar heated water bag - not really a mod but useful. Used it to wash off the sand from the kids legs and feet before they entered the coach. Helped keep down the sad infiltration and wife was happy not to have to sweep all the time. we where parked north/south so the bad had the sun all day long. by early afternoon the water was very warm

We had all the windows tinted. Its much nice now that we can look out without people seeing us especially for my wife and kids while I drive.

Your local electrical distributor will have them if you don't see at a home center. Most of the major wiring device mfgs make them now. Some all usb, others
duplex with 2 usb like this one from Eaton (formerly cooper wiring devices/arrow hart)
