Thanks for the report. It will help many people including myself to purchase the correct one.

Stan, you did a wonderful job! I can't wait to get mine. I accidentially bought two sets on ebay so I'll have an extra set I guess.

The set I bought had the tape already installed on them. I stuck them on the underside of the track that the awning slips into. I then stuck the controller beside the arm for the awning and fed the power wire down the arm under the plastic cover they have there to cover the awning power wire. Poked a hole on the inside of the wall, then fished the wire down through the floor out to the battery, put in an inline fuse and everything worked fine. If you would like pics, I can get some when the snow stops.

Awning lights..booooo

Well,, like so many others, I got around to do the awning light installation..mine did not go well at all...Checked the lights out prior to installing them on the RV...all worked fine using an AC/DC converter...from across the room the controller worked perfectly..
Went out, uncovered the coach...wiped off the underside of the awning where I wanted them to go....got the string placed just about where I wanted them...hooked the electrical supply back up...got them turned on, tried selecting a few different patterns, responded slowly then nothing..replaced the wafer battery in the transmitter...still nothing...pull the transmitter inside the coach door away from the outside, that seem to help some....right now I have them in that location as I had planned to wire them directly in to the scare lite next to the door...
I am at a loss at this time...either will take them back off, get a new set or replace the controller...that means ordering something from someone....what I have done looks pretty good, of course its in the middle of the day...try again at dark..
Help!
