Stanley,

Initially I mounted mine exactly where you mounted yours. They worked great until the first big rain, then my lights went "wonky." Discovered that "weather resistant" did not mean "waterproof."

I relocated the light driver computer inside after that.

I don't understand the above photos. Is this where things are now? I see the little white box is not connected to anything in the first two photos.

Not sure what you mean. The little white box is connected to 12 volt power and the connector for the LED strip is plugged into the LED strip in the two photos.

The bottom photo shows where I moved it so it would stay out of the rain.

Herk, How did you run the RGB cable down into the compartment? Did you use a 4 wire cable to do that?

Yes, I used a 4 wire "Telco" cable. (4 conductor "bell wire" telephone wiring) to feed from the LED strip down to the motor wire hole; then inside the storage compartment to the control unit. I fed the sensor back out through the same hole.

I have a manual awning and looking for ways to install it with minimal drilling of holes in the side. Looking to run the wiring down inside the refrigerator compartment and then tap the power there.

Try to house everything into the orange light off your door. It will have power, provide water cover for the controller and no holes. The only down side is it might not reach the entire length of the awning.

pwrboatfan,
Yes, those are 12 Volt switches. I bought them on Ebay here: New camper Sigma 12V Single Gang Rocker on Off Switch | eBay
I was able to find switches that match the ceiling lights from the factory.
I made the labels on the computer and used some clear label stock to label them for us.
This seller on Ebay was a fast shipper and has great prices. She has several different types of 12 Volt switches.
