If that is what he was talking about, I have them. THEY roll up into the awning when it is rolled up, NOT the lights. They need to be strung each time you put the awning out.

That's what I thought! Thanks for the clarification. I'm looking for lights that will stay in the track when the awning is rolled up.

Some people have used the similar:
https://www.solidapollo.com/led-strip-profiles/
Its a track you put the lights on on the side of the camper, not the awning itself, but just under. I would do this for my next set of LED because they all do fail eventually, esp the cheapy ones, so I could pull the old out and swap out with new without needing to remove the glue / tape.

Yup, I drilled through the porch light housing. Took out the bulb and broke the bulb. I then soldered my connection to the bulb leads and removed the element. Insulted, installed bulb and lens. The switch for the porch light turns the strip on and off and the remote changes the colour and the fade.

I personally would put the light on the actual side of the RV and wire it to the outdoor light . Go with something like this and drill and seal a hole right by the Patio Light and tap it in there. This way it works with the outside light switch.

The strip will have a connector on one end. Where do you plan to mount the controller? Cutting is easy just cut where marked. I suggest you purchase some 3M automotive trim tape add it between the sticky side of the led strip and the wall. The strip adhesive does not hold up well in the elements.

When I mounted and installed my multicolored LEDs, I got power by running a wire down the awning channel mounted forward on the fiver where the awning motor is wired. Fed the wire thru same hole in the channel where awning power wire entered the lp storage bin. From there I drilled a small hole from lp bin to basement where basement light was mounted and tapped into power there. I mounted the controller for the remote at the top of the awning channel where the led strip started. For ground wire, I backed out an awning mounting screw and placed ground wire behind it and tignened.
Works well except when awning is closed the controller is blocked from reading the remote because the awning blocks it.
