I think I added this to another thread somewhere that has the parts I used but I purchased an extra extension cord for mine and drilled a hole behind the porch light. Then I heat sealed around the connector and mounted my lights to the bottom of the gutter and behind the awning. I used a thin coat of silicone over the top for good measure and a blob on each end to hold it still.

On the inside I used a low voltage face plate with a filler plug. I drilled a small hole in the plug and snapped it into place after bringing the plug through. It's all tucked behind the TV when it is in the camper.

I replaced my porch light bulb with a LED and put the remote sensor to the light strip inside light dome. is a video of it in action.

I'll try and attach a few photos.

My next step is to get power to the lights with out having to plug in outside. I need to drill a hole through the camper and get to the outlet near the rear bunk.

Has anyone found\used an extension for the output side of the power brick?

OK, flame me if you must for not finding the answer in a search, but.......

Anyone here know the different types of connections from the controller to the light strip? I know there are at least a 4 pin as well as an 8 pin; any other types??

Also the material (silicon or epoxy) makes quite a difference in resistance to "yellowing". Is that correct??

Boowho??

Thanks Turbs..... I should have typed 4 and 10; not 8.

I'm trying to match types of controllers with different light strips, so I don't have to buy a new controller every time the strips get yellowed (about every 6-8 months).

There are some really fancy controllers out there if you look around a bit. One of them has 133 settings for the strips!! I find it amazing how many fellow campers come up to me and ask where I got my lights.

The one with 133 settings has two (4 pin each) "ports" so not sure how THAT works.

Boowho??
