My daughter just found this site

All right.

If you were careful when you attached the first LED strip under the awning rail and followed the slotted awning material retainer, there is JUST enough room for a second strip!

I cut the sockets off the four wires of the two strips and soldered them to a piece of four wire TELCO solid telephone wire.

White (ground) to BLACK telco
Green (green Vcc) to GREEN telco
Red (red Vcc) to RED telco
Blue (blue Vcc) to YELLOW telco

Taped; heat shrunk; and gooped with RTV Silicone II for waterproofing and security. Ran the TELCO down the arm and into the motor power cord hole in the arm. In the Basement compartment I installed the new 44 IR remote module ad routed the IR sensor back out through the same hole.

I used the RTV to attach it to the bottom on the arm support.

No control switch is required since I can just reach into the compartment and yank the plug out when I am not using it.

The double strip of lights and all the new cool features just really rocks IMO. Plenty of light with the awning extended or rolled up.

AS I stated before get http://www.ebay.com/itm/270939580723...fsrc=1&afsrc=1

or the same LED strip with the 44 IR controller.

Aren't these common anode (+) where white is +Vcc and RGB are ground?

Yea. I have some time restraints tho. They are only 45 miles or so from me. Plus it has a plug & play mode?? Blinks to music. Thought that might be good during tailgating. We will see. Steve

Amazon.com: Ledwholesalers IP67 Waterproof 16.4 Ft RGB Color Changing Kit with LED Flexible Strip, 44 Button Controller + Remote and 12 Volt Power Supply, 2038kit: Home Improvement

After reading 33 pages I too decided to pull the trigger (or in this case push the enter button). After reading the description carefully it appears to be the same lights as Herk, just quicker shipping time and $10 more. It appears I will have these lights installed faster than what it took me to read all these pages. Looking forward to 4th of July camping trip with my fancy lights.

Has anyone programed it to flash Red, White and Blue yet?
