After reading 33 pages I too decided to pull the trigger (or in this case push the enter button). After reading the description carefully it appears to be the same lights as Herk, just quicker shipping time and $10 more. It appears I will have these lights installed faster than what it took me to read all these pages. Looking forward to 4th of July camping trip with my fancy lights.

Has anyone programed it to flash Red, White and Blue yet?
Those are not the ones I bought. I got the brighter 5050 LEDs (not 2038s) and a rubberized waterproof strand. Those seem waterproof as well, but my strand has a rubber cover.

Now I had to get some Led's too. I'll put them in clear shrink tube sock. That will keep the moisture out when it is rolled up and stored. I'll run a 12v from the battery with fuse block to the transformer. Run the wire extended up to the awning motor connection through the tube. Put a easy off quick disconnect on the moving side. It will disconnect if the love of my life pulls the awning without disconnecting.
KIS that is the motto.

I ordered white led solar/battery powered waterproof 20 ft. Going to mount them on the frame rail. When traveling I will put the solar charger in the back of the truck and when set up put it on the a- frame. Hope it works. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lighting-Ess...-/280901744051

I think you will not have enough light from the Led lights. Everybody buys 60 LED per meter. Hope it works.

Just a soft glow will be fine. If they don't work out I can put them under the top rail on the deck at home.

Did you folks see this?

Music Audio Sound Driver RGB x3 Strip Light LED Controller 12V 60W IR Remote | eBay

Difference between the waterproof code IP65 and IP67? Anyone?

The two similar white ones are IP65 and the copper colored one is the IP67.

Not really sure if I would do the music control myself. Just want a nice ambient light when sitting around the campfire at night. When I was in high school, I would have been more apt to toss this under the car and hook it up that way, but I don't have a set of 12's with a 1000 watt amp in the trailer nor do I plan on thumpin the bass at a CG anytime soon, lol. Maybe for tailgaters this would be pretty cool.

In enclosures IP54 is splash proof, IP56 is for direct water spray so maybe 67 is underwater?
