Not dark Yet.

I had many more photos of the install, but my Thumb drive fried my chip and dumped the photos again. I also lost the wedding photos of my friend's son's wedding. Bummer.

My plan is to weatherproof the box; right now I have it Velcro'ed to the wall and I remove it for travel. I am thinking a covering of Eternabond might just do the trick. It is white; waterproof; and will blend in better.

Now you need to hook it to 12v and remote control it.

No idea, as I have never done it before.
May have to make a clip of cycling through the 16 colors and post it.

Could the box be put inside and not worry about waterproofing it?

Maybe.

I might be able to re-do it now that I have had time to think about it.

If I had to do it over (and I may still as it would not be a big deal), I would run 4 wire (like they use in hardwired smoke detectors - I have a spool of it) from the basement (where the awning remote stuff is located) to the LED strip. The only real problem with putting it inside is the remote is IR and hard wired to the control box. (see picture)

The little pigtail with the IR sensor is pretty short.
