Can you post a pic? I would guess that it is possibly a euro or other nation plug, maybe? Just a guess without seeing.

My are 110 only, have not tried the 12volt yet. Sent an email to the seller no reply as yet, but will probably go to Radio Shack and purchases another AC adapter

My "kit" came with a short pigtail, is what you used for the 12 volt connection? As you can tell electricity of any type is not my speciality. And yes the arrows were lined up and I have no clue how to post a picture,sorry......

The seller has many items for sale. Some come with 110 VAC transformer; some with 220 VAC and some with a 12 volt pigtail for wiring to a 12 volt source.

Make SURE you order the correct one for your intended install.

If you hook the plug up backwards you will fry the controller.

There are 3 "hots" and one ground in the 4 wire strip.
Reversing the connector will ground the output of one of the color drivers.
There is no internal protection.

I guess my question should have been, does the small power indicator light on the top of the AC adapter remain lit while it's energerized? If so then is it safe to assume the AC adapter is bad?
