Personally, I would be cautious about using wire mold on the exterior of the camper. One, it is an "inside" product and the self stick tape may not be weatherproof. Two, the snap on cover may hold inside, but might just blow off going down the highway.
Let me know how it works out if you go this route. I have an exterior camera project that is still "in my mind" that is looking for a wire solution.

Don't think it will work, from my experience in using it on our enclosed back deck. Used it on clean alum flashing to cover flood light wires and it lasted about 1 yr before it came loose. It was never exposed to water or direct sunlight. If I used it, I would peel off the factory tape and use the outdoor 2 sided tape which is what I did and after 6 yrs, it's still working.
I almost hit the buy button on the lights. But, if I was to get lights BEFORE getting a mattress topper before our shakedown run next weekend, I would be in the dog house... Mattress topper shopping today. Lights are in my amazon wishlist and may not make the shakedown run....

"Putting the connection in the middle" is essentially how I wired my "double run" of lights. Though connected at one end; both strips were powered at the "same end" (or the electrical middle).

Very nice, all that is missing are the awning tie down poles. How do you like the lights in the step cutouts?
Nice job, these look great. I have been reading this thread so much trying to be ready when my lights arrive. Crunchman12001, I really like the install into the scare light and I have decided that is how am going to install mine. I do have a question, where did you find the wire for the extension from the end of your lights to your controller? Thanks

Thank you OldCoot, the install turned out very clean.
I like the step lights. Gives a nice glow to the steps. They did turn out a little brighter than I thought they would for 12" strips. I will see if a dimmer will be needed after our first outing in May.

Well, we did some frugal shopping. Got the mattress topper, xchocks, and still had money for the LEDs. They should be in from Amazon on Wednesday.
Still trying to figure out how to run the wiring. My thoughts, drill the smallest of holes that the wire can fit though at the front, under my awning and gutter. This will lead me to the shelf above the tent end. From there, I can wire the controller there and connect the wires to the bunk light. Any thoughts and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

We received our 50-50 LED light strips today. I haven't decided how are going to install them yet will keep you posted when we install and post pictures
I had some white LED Strips left after installing a short section in the step recess.
Never did like the lighting in the under storage, with only one light on the curb side. And inevitably when I need the light, I'm on the other side of the RV.
Cut two lengths of the LED Strip the width of the under storage, and mounted them one third of the way in from each side to the under side of the floor joist. Then took two single pole double throw switches and wired up a two way circuit with a switch on each side. The light is awesome, and can now be turned on and off from either side of the RV.
