Installed mine this past week. I installed the controller inside the pass thru and wired to the light in the pass thru. I used 3m auto tape from Walmart to stick the strips to the awning tube. Works great.

Does anyone know the width of these lights? Needed to buy tape to mount them and the narrowest I could find was 1/2 inch.

That might be too wide. The ones I bought came already equipped with double sided tape.

Just not sure how well the tape will hold up. I was planning on mounting them to the awning rail against the camper.

1/2" will be just right, all I could find was 1" and I cut it on my bandsaw down to 1/2"

Mine are still there after 3 camping trips and several downpours.

1/2 tape is what I used and I bought 3m VHB (Very High Bond), sticks to everything and anything. I peeled the backing from the lights and stuck the VHB to the led strips.

What kind of connector did you use? Looks way better then the 4pin factory connector.
