Looking good Textman!

I like how the underneath lights accent the ones under the awning with the same color. It all must give you plenty of light while outside in evening, and no doubt gets plenty of compliments from passers by, not to mention the personal feeling of satisfaction!

Enjoy them, comrade!

Non Yellowing?

Sorry, I tried searching but no help..... And I don't have time to read over 180 pages.... So here goes.....

Any of you found these 50-50 "race horse" lights that DON'T yellow after a short time?? I think the epoxy ones yellow, but the silicon ones won't.

Trouble is, no Ebay seller specifies whether theirs are silicon or epoxy.

Any advice GREATLY appreciated.

Boowho??

There is no spot to stick the led strip to.

LED LIFE

Ours have been installed now for two years and have also survived our 15K trip acrfoss the usa, canada and alsska with no problems and lots of comments from other rv owners.
Just put a 50/50 double ruin under our 30'-0 stationary awning over the Sunnybrook here at Talking Rock Creek RV Resort..always looking for new ideas, just added another 16'-0 bright white to the cargo compartment on the 5th wheel..

There isn't a flat spot to adhere the strip to. Looks like I would have to stick the strip to the awning material.

Jjs2000z,
The awning track is only 1/2" wide. It looks like you have the same awning as my coachman. The track is against the trailer wall that the fabric is stuck to.
This is a picture of the top of my awning arm showing the awning track above it with LED strip and wiring.

Crunchman, you spud into existing wiring harness or did the lights come with it & you ran it where for power? And where did you buy'em?

Jjs2000z,
It does look like you have a different track than most here. You could stick the LED to the side of the camper but if your graphics are not painted, you might peel the decals if you remove the strip.

Poppy94,
See post #784 for links. Post #785 for wiring details on page # 79.
I tried some links but they died a long time ago. Read the post though.
I bought the LED's like this
I bought a wire like this to run down inside the awning power hole.
A plug like this to plug into the controller which attaches to my new 12V wire that I ran to an empty slot on the 12V DC panel.
My album has pics here

Awning lights

Without reading thru 184 pages can someone tell me what LED lights I would need for a dark full bodied paint Cedar Creek 36 RE TOURING EDITION to give me good lighting? Should I consider putting a set under the track on the rv itself as well as one on the awning tube. Bought a set a couple of years ago and had my girls hold them up against RV while they were on and didn't do very much do to the dark sides of RV with not much reflection. Any advice from anyone with this exact set-up? Been looking agt the Class A Berkshires and Charlestons and now realize how much I really love what I have so wanting to do a few upgrades. Thanks in advance

So, I'm confused - what's the power source here? We got lots of places dry, so, are these on battery? They're pretty wonderful.

I tied into my step light as a 12 volt power source. That light was relatively poor anyhow, so I installed some of the leftover strip behind the steps; both looks nice and is functional!

Can these lights be dimmed with the included remote? I have some similar leds from China and they are super bright. I mounted them under our steps with a switch mounted under the fridge.
