I also have the outside kitchen and love it. Yes, when it rained water would run back toward the camper wall and leak through the hinge. My first thought was to move the gas strut mount on the sides of the kitchen morning as Scubanut did. No more rain in at the hinges and I can reach the door easier to close it.
