Thought I'd share some of my recent mods to our new Avenger.

I'm not familiar with this unit. What was done in pictures 2 & 3? Love the storage slide outs!

Sorry, I should have put captions on each photo. In photo 2, doors in a shallow storage area were removed and a heater/fireplace was installed. In photo 3 the doors were cut down and an opening was cut for access to storage under the seats of the dinette without removing seats. Photo 4 shows the containers that slide out of it.

Terier, the storage slideout was a cheap and simple mod. I used garage door rollers and tracks.

Would you be able to post more pics of your storage slide out? Would like to see the detail on it. Thanks!

Yes, but I am not at home and will try to soon. In the meantime in way of description:
I built a frame with 2X4s lengthwise(about 4" short of the storage area) with 1X4s connecting them on the bottom. It is screwed to the floor through the 1X2s, but this thickness is determined by how far the door opening is off the floor. There are 8 garage door rollers(4 on each side). I seated the rollers close through the 2X4 with only a slight clearance and then cut off the shaft of the roller that sticks out the other side of the 2X4. It is a simple tray with straight sections of garage door tracks that I didn't have to cut. There are brackets that are fixed to the tracks that the tray will sit on and attach. I put deadbolt type latches at the end of the frame on each end to keep the tray secure within the area. It will slide freely out each side to gain access to half of the tray. I'm putting a stop on the tray to keep it from coming all the way out.

Love the storage slide out, the dinette storage and are those power jacks? How do you like them if so, and what brand/cost on them?

Thanks, yes they are remote control electric. The brand is Ground Control by Rieco Titan and they are great. They are plug and play and I installed them. I kept the sissor jacks on the rear for that much more stabilization. They will raise the entire 27 ft. trailer off the ground. They have a total of 20k lb. lifting capacity. I did a lot of research on these and then ordered them off the internet and they were around $2,500(hope my wife doesn't see that).

For the dinette storage, I cut down the doors that I took off when I installed the electric fireplace.

I have to remove one bench from my dinette, and shorten the other by about a foot. I can use the wood off the side I am removing to make the door in the remaining one. Any other mod to the storage under the bench? Love to have the power lifts. They would save me a ton of work, but way out of my budget for now. By plug and play you mean you just wired them up and bolted them on? Hydraulic or straight electric?

Maybe someday I will have them added. It would be nice to pull the slideout to me instead of trying to reach inside the second smallest bay storage doors.

The rollout containers pretty well fill up the area under the seats. As far as the Ground Control Levelers, the kit is complete with plug in wiring, a wired control, a remote wireless control, and a central control system with timed shutoff. It is 12 volt and will lift my 27ft. trailer completely off the wheels.

Thanks,Chris. The fireplace came off Ebay. It was a close one, but it worked. I took the center shelf out and used the front trim at the bottom of the opening, for the depth fell a little short. It did come with a plug and that is where it is plugged in. If you need more info let me know.
