I won't be doing any over the winter, unless its unusually warm, but I will be purchasing some to install in the spring.

Here is the list as of now:
1. LED lighting in the awning tube and another strip on the camper
2. a spacemaker coffee pot
3. add a curtain and track to separate the bunk area

I am so excited to see this conversation! We just bought the XLR Thunderbolt toyhauler and I love it! Problem is, I can't even bring myself to hang the toilet paper roll holder, or towel ring in the bathroom! I would love to hear from folks that have the XLR toyhauler and hear what mods they have/or are doing!

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on the new unit. I know the hardest part of a new unit is that first hole in the wall. I use a TP holder that sits on the floor (AFTER we put 4 holes in the wall and found out that the door hit the paper).... I do have a towel ring in the bathroom..second set of holes easier then the first. Just really think of how the item will be pulled on IE: pulling on the towel when using it.

The mods we are thinking of doing are:
1. The pantry is a bad design, want to put roll out shelves in place of the standard ones.
2. Replace the lights with LED
3. MAYBE replacing the cabinet under the tv with an electric fireplace insert.
4. Hang the locking gun rack
5. Hang the new key rack

That is all that we have talked about for now. collecting the needed supplies over the winter and doing the remods in the spring.

A new base for the dinette table. The factory issue is way too wobbly!

Remove some of the carpet.

Add a memory foam topper to the Murphy bed.

Add a power tongue jack.

LaCrosse Quen Bed

Our Prime Time LaCrosse has the Chinese 74" "Queen" size bed. I am going to take out the bed base, add a 6" piece of plywood into the base and buy a full size euro-top comfortable Queen size mattress.(80" x 60")

Also, with the heavier mattress the gas shocks will not hold the weight when packing items under the mattress, therefore, I plan to add a hardwood strut that follows the mattress base when lifted (on a hinge) and holds the mattress up when necessary.

Also, going to add a pair of air-bag leveling devices to the truck, mainly to smooth the ride on those concrete sections of several Interstate highways on the trip south to Florida.

The last mod I am contemplating is moving the furnace duct in the upstairs hallway to inside the bathroom. This would solve two minor inconveniences. 1. the duct elbow and flex tubing in the basement area. 2. lack of a duct in the bathroom. I want to be able to move the duct & tubing out of the storage area and get it behind the rear panel of the basement. With our getting ready to head to FL, a week from tomorrow, I don't want to empty the basement at this late date, so will wait until we get set up for a 3 week stay @ Thousand Trails-Orlando(Clermont).

I'm not sure when I'll get to these, but here's my list of to-dos for the camper:

1) Foam for under bunk beds (will be done in the next 4 weeks for a trip in December)
2) Mount my sewer hose holders (did the vinyl post cover + caps + gutter trays; currently they live in the back of my truck)
3) Tornado Rinser for 2nd black tank
4) Horst Probes for all (sigh, 5) tanks
5) Quadra steps for both doors
6) Step supports for under Quadra steps
7) Built in vacuum
8) Figure out some way to store all of the cooking instruments better (hot dog pokers, marshmallow sticks, moon pie maker and smores heater-upper) in our storage bay (hanging them from the inside ceiling with Velcro is my current idea)
9) Better organization in my basement (this seems to never end- I get some semblance of order and the I lose it)
10) Replace heating registers with closable ones
11) Check air conditioning ducts to see if I can get more air to the bunkhouse
12) Add reflectix and insulation to bunk over outdoor kitchen, poor daughter bakes and freezes (depending on the weather) up there
13) Get ice machine + mess with my storage requirements for the basement
14) Add some kind of cabinet/rack/storage to area under sink where the toilet paper holder is
15) Would love a air pin (TrailAir/TriGlide or something)

And, a not a mod - but I'm excited that the in-laws are getting us an adjustable grill for cooking on the fire (The Amazing Grill).

And, lastly - (embarrassed) - not a mod, but I have to fix one of my RotoChoks. I store the handle/wrench-like thing in the RotoChok when they're installed. Well, I pulled the camper before removing them and then drove over it. The handle-thing is bent and permanently installed into my RotoChok.
