We camp a lot at state parks that only have electric hook ups. Of coarse we fill up the water tank before proceeding to our site. I usually refill the water tank by using 6 gallon portable water containers and i hook up a 12volt pump to the trailer battery to pump it into the trailer tank. Does anyone have any other creative I ideas in refilling the trailers water tank at the campsite?

I don't know of anything better. I set up a spare RV water pump with hose connections and a 12v cord to reach my truck battery. I carry 2-15 gallon round tanks that I picked up from a yogurt plant. They came with Agave syrup for the yogurt. I fill them up at the camp hose connection and pump the water from them wright in the back of the truck. If you do a lot of camping away from water hookup I would suggest installing a pressure tank to reduce the cycling of the pump. I got one from Lowe's and installed it after the pump. I can't really help, other to say there was a lengthy thread on a here a while back discussing this. Might try a search and see what comes up. Had a lot of ideas, some good, maybe some not. Mostly dependent on water usage.
We use our outside anti freeze inlet and changed the way the tank hooks up to the pump so thAt when you fill up the jug at the faucet and you bring it bacteria to the camper you just change one valve inside and then you are ready to go

Lol-reminds me of one year that several of us campers ran out of water at the same time. Someone figured out that if we all put our hoses together we could reach the nearest water supply and refill all our tanks-we all had a lot of fun and met some really nice people.

We were doing a "scouting trip" this past weekend at a park with electric only and noticed that we might be able to do something like that if needed. Heck, I carry almost 100' of hose with me and i think that would reach from some of the sites.
