North star batteries

Has anyone heard anything about north star batteries?

I can get these for $370 Canadian, delivered. ( $260 usd)

Specs seem decent.

Those are a telcom battery - I've installed 100's of them. Reliable as hell...

What you using them for? Solar, or in your trailer, or ???

Not sure how they'll handle the vibration of travel - they're meant for stationary use...

They are a great battery, my company buys thousands of them a year; and we see 7 year service life easily, and often more.

I'm meeting with the Canadian distributor for North Star later in the week, I'll see what they say about mobile/travel use.

128# each seems heavy on the payload and roughly a pair for $500 getting 171ah each. Sounds good to me ;-)

Actually, the 20ah rating is 210 each. So 420ah for $500, and 250lbs.
Compare that to flooded batteries, while they might be cheaper, it will take more to make the same ah.

I would love a lithium pack.
400ah at 120lbs, 80% useable.
But $3200..........
