Not so MAGIC CARPET

My wife and I are full timers in our 2006 Wildwood XL and we don't like the carpet (imagine that). Has anyone had experience with removing carpet and installing an alternative. My concern is the two slide-outs, and will this effect its operation. I would'nt want it to mark the floor. Any ideas would be helpfull.

I imagine it would. they use the carpet as sliders. you would have to rig up some sort of a slider if you move your slide outs in. poly pucks or something like that.

i have part carpet part linoleum going down the length of my unit. carpet is on the slideout side of course. sometimes i wish it was all lino and sometimes when its cold wish it was all carpet! Hotel my gf was working at got new carpet installed and there was a ton of leftovers so i made a nice entry port place with the high traffic carpet. so in a way ive kinda added more carpet lol.

Thanks for the info, "Don Vest" has a post showing his flooring up-grade but doesn't mention if it effects operation. As for comfort regarding temperature that won't be an issue since a cold day in the Keys is 45 degrees, and only last a few days. Is that a Dodge Ram you pull with and what mileage do you get with no load. We only "move" if a hurricane is coming which thankfully hasn't happened since our purchase in 06. Love our RAM 1500 but can't move with that! Thinking of upgrade there too.
